August 3rd 2008	The crowd from West Midlands Many thanks to all the crowd from West Midlands for being great sports and dressing in fancy dress. There outfits were simply amazing, I just had to take a photo and publish it on our web site, there were 12 couples organised by Sarah Whitbread who all stayed with us for 2 nights. July 11th 2008	New 19" Digital Freeview TV in Room 6 We have fitted a wall mounted 19" HD Digital Colour Freeview TV with over 40 channels available, in our Sea View luxury double room (Room 6). This room also has a luxury matress and duck feather pillows and is becoming very popular with all our guests, you will need to book early to get this fabulous luxury room. UPDATE 6th August 2008- ALL rooms now are fitted with digital colour TV's with over 40 channels available.
June 13th 2008	Rockcliffe Hotel changes Bar tap beer brands Due to popular demand from our guests we have now changed our bar beers from Carlsberg, Tetleys, Carlsberg Export to Carling, Worthington Smoothflow and Grolsch. Along with the change we have had installed state of the art fully electronic beer coolers and flow control, and new modern designed beer taps.
March 24th 2008	North of England Junior Ballroom Champions stay at the Rockcliffe Hotel We were very proud to have had the North of England Junior Ballroom Champions stay at our Hotel. Congratulations to both Alex Dudley and Sophie Jones who on the 24th March 2008 won the North of England Junior Ballroom Championship which took place at the Blackpool Dance Festival for Juniors 2008 in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Dec 29th 2007 - Jan 2nd 2008	New Years Eve Party Weekend A Brilliant New Years Party Weekend was had by all, the Hotel was full and everyone had a great time, many thanks to all those who came in Fancy Dress, Well Done, including the Children. We had an Artist on the 30th David Wainwright and he was brilliant, Hot Pot on the 30th followed by a Buffet on New Years Eve. Quiz, Bingo & Karaoke every night. The Atmosphere was somthing else on the 30th, we said "How can we beat that"? And we did on New Years Eve, What a Fantastic Weekend, It just gets better every Year. Nov / Dec 2007	End of Season Holiday Dominican Republic We both took a well earned break at the end of November 2007, and had 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic, staying at the Hotel Riu Merengue, we had a great rest and holiday, this Hotel is Fabulous and very clean. Pictures are here
10th Nov 2007	Mick Graham also Smashes the Breakfast Challenge Congratulations also to Mick Graham who is the second person to achieve our breakfast challenge - The "Avalanche". This is the second person to of achieved this challenge in the last month, but before Danny in October 2007, no one had managed it! Is this getting too easy? Maybe we'll have to introduce a new challenge to be broken? Well Done again Mick.
7th Oct 2007	Danny Insley Completes the Breakfast Challenge Congratulations to Danny Insley who is the first person to achieve our breakfast challenge - The "Avalanche". Many have tried and failed in the last 18 Months whilst we have owned the Rockcliffe Hotel. The challenge consists of - Cereal with Milk, Grapefruit Segments, Orange juice, Yoghurt, Toast, Tea or Coffee, "The Big Max" which is Egg, 2 Slices Bacon, Sausage, Tomato, Mushrooms, Fried Bread, Hash Brown, Black Pudding, Baked Beans, followed by Poached Egg on Toast, Scrambled Egg on Toast, Beans on Toast, followed again by Pancakes with Maple Syrup, which you can see Danny finishing in the Picture. "Still Smiling?" Once again Well Done Danny.
27th July 2007	Singing Sisters, Danielle and Jenna The Rockcliffe Hotel were proud to have the return of the Singing sisters, Danielle and Jenna Donelly, who have both won a place representing Cumbria and Lancashire in the National Finals at Marton Mere Holiday Park, Blackpool in late October / November. The sisters qualified after Jenna won her section for singing ballads for the 13 and under group, and Danielle was runner-up in the 14 - 23 age group for ballads. They sang and entertained the guests in the Rockcliffe Hotel for 3 nights in July, this was Karaoke turned Cabaret. We are looking forward to their return to the Hotel in late October when they take part in the Competition. We wish them both the very best. Pictures are here
14th July 2007	Harry & Mary's Wedding The Blackpool Rockcliffe Hotel was proud and honoured to host Harry & Mary's Wedding reception and evening. Harry & Mary are one of our regular Guests who asked us months ago if we would host their wedding day. They were married in Gretna Green and then made their way over to the Rockcliffe Hotel. 45 Guests were present in the day and evening. An extensive Buffet was provided, along with Champagne and wine. Evening entertainment, and a good time was had by all. Many thanks to all staff, family and John the Chef for helping make this a memorable day for Mary & Harry Pictures are here
Easter 2007	Easter 2007 The Blackpool Rockcliffe Hotel was very busy over the 2 Week Easter period, a great time was had by all, the Karaoke was in full swing at the weekends with plenty of volenteers for singing, a many thanks to all our Guests for making Easter 2007 very memorable. Valentine 2007	Valentine 2007 With Valentines falling on a Wednesday this year, we had 2 Weekends to Celebrate Valentines, we had a great crowd in both weekends and midweek, Many a romantic moment was had by all singing Ballads to their Partners on the Karaoke!!!!. Pictures are here
New Year Party 2006	Rockcliffe New Year Party 2006 Many thanks to all our guests who made our first New Year Party Weekend very successful. Judging by the comments received on leaving it was thoroughly enjoyed by all our guests. We would like to make a special thanks to our Staff / Family members, Kath for helping with the Buffet and serving Breakfast, Pete for the Buffet and Quiz, Julie and Geoff for generally helping where ever needed, and Cheryl, Ben and Jenni for doing Bar, Music and running the Karaoke. November 2006	Rockcliffe Hotel awarded THREE STARS We had a surprise overnight visit by a Quality Assurance Assessor a service provided for VisitBritain and the Blackpool Rockcliffe Hotel has been awarded a VisitBritain Quality in Tourism Rating of THREE STAR *** . We are over the moon with this achievement and a great credit to Fiona & Pete for all the hard work they have put into the Hotel since March 2006. A big thank you also to all our Staff in helping us to achieve this award.
November 6th 2006	Lionel & Anne's Wedding Lionel & Anne arrive at the Rockcliffe Hotel on the 5th November to break the news to us that the day after they are on their way to Gretna to get hitched!, on the 6th November they spend their honeymoon night at the Rockcliffe Hotel. Congratulations to you both from all the staff at the Blackpool Rockcliffe Hotel.

Sunday 20th August 2006	New Dining Room Chairs at the Rockcliffe Hotel Once again we have made improvements to the Blackpool Rockcliffe Hotel and purchased 46 New Dining Room Chairs for your comfort.
Friday 21st July 2006	Darts Players stay at the Rockcliffe Hotel Stan James World Matchplay 2006 was on in Blackpool in the Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens on the 23rd - 29 July, and who booked into the Blackpool Rockcliffe Hotel only the "Ace of Herts" Alex Roy & "Kong" Robert Green.
Tuesday June 6th 2006	Rockcliffe Hotel gets it's Entertainment License The Blackpool Rockcliffe hotel finally gets it's entertainment license approved, and the Karaoke is in full storm every weekend, thanks to all our guests (Singers & Non Singers) for taking part in what has been a brilliant entertainment year of 2006, lets keep it up in 2007!!
